Challah and Babka Storage Info

Challah

When you receive your challah, you can enjoy your it right away, or you may place the challah, as is, into the freezer if you plan on enjoying it at a later date.

To defrost your challah, take it out of the freezer and leave it on the counter for 2-3 hours or until it comes to room temperature. Challahs that are not drizzled with glaze or white chocolate can then be wrapped in tin foil and heated in the oven at 325F for 10 minutes (you may also heat the challah or challah slices in the microwave at 30 second intervals until slightly warm.)

Unfrozen challah should be stored on your counter in a tightly sealed plastic bag/ziplock bag or in a bread box.

Challah can be frozen for up to 2 months by wrapping the challah in plastic wrap or tin foil and placing it in a ziplock freezer bag (you can slice your challah and package each slice individually prior to freezing so that you can pull out one slice at a time!)

Babka
